  1. your right, they were all funny. but it just makes me mad when people put the marx brothers up on a pedestal and put abbott & costello down in the dirt. as people have been doing for years. that’s why i lashed out the way i did.

  2. no, i dont agree. i thought laurel & hardy were the second best comedy team of all time after bud & lou.

  3. You don’t have to watch it, that’s the beauty of youtube, there’s lot’s of clips of Abbott and Costello on here for you to leave positive criticism about.

  4. BOTH Abbott and Costello and the Marx Brothers were funny, as were Laurel and Hardy.

And in answer to Matt, I can’t figure how you don’t like all three, as essentially the humour is the same.

  5. i’m sorry but watching a guy just walking around blowing his horn & making silly faces is not funny to me!

  7. “Harpo never even talked” ranks right up there with “Dale Earnhardt wasn’t a good driver–he kept going in a circle.”

  8. actually i’m very right. i dont know why people thought the marx brothers were funny. i was watching one of their movies the other night and i was looking at my watch the whole time. i could’nt wait for the movie to end! these guys did’nt make me laugh once.

  9. abbott & costello were light years better than the marx brothers! in fact, i thought the marx brothers were the worst comedy team of all time! groucho was the only amusing one…….sometimes. harpo never even talked, chico had this annoying accent. and zeppo was practically invisible. they werent in the same realm with abbott & costello.

  10. Sorry, no way. Bud Abbott and Lou Costello were very good but there was nothing really innovative about them. They were just doing old Vaudeville routines. They may have been the best of that Vaudeville style and did the definitive version of Who’s On First but the Marxes were superior.
