Sad, but beautiful.
I love this song but I would like to know what is up with the video. It looks like it came from a cameraphone or something. Thank You.
The very first time I heard this song, I had it stuck in my head all day. I can’t get enough of it. Thank You.
Its actually a cover of a b-side written by Frankie Valley
Keane did a brilliant cover on this song. Original and remake are both great!
Interesting story about these people comming over from America. Never heard of them before, nice song. Thanks for sending it Gary!

I love this song because of how sad it sounds. I take it that something tragic happened in this man’s life. Thank You.
This song is awesome. Scott could have made more songs if he was not a bit crazy. They sound so good together. In 66 riding with the top down, girl on one arm doing 60, speeding in those days, it was great.
Wow those balancing angels are great
I sure do wish I was alive in 1966 so I could have experienced life the way it was meant to be lived. I can’t imagine what life was like after John F. Kennedy was assassinated just 3 years before. Thank You.
I got a sense of sadness as I was listening to this song because of the way this guy was singing. How low his voice is. Thank You.
you get a sense of the desolation and abandonment he is talking about through this song…
like upon a cliff high in a desert with the deep blue empty starless sky…..the fact that people need people and mortality , we are only here for a finite time.
Hey, keep in mind too, sunflowermother, that this was back before music videos are what they are today. I mean times have changed since the 50’s and the 60’s and this is one example of that. I’m only 23 and I love this music better than the music of today. Thank You.
I heard this song on the radio this morning and have had it stuck in my head all day long. I listened to KOOL 107.9 FM A Backyard Broadcasting Station out of Sioux Falls, SD. Thank You.
I read somewhere on YT not sure which one but I think it may have been Scott..that he teaches music. I can’t remember where but I seem to remember it was an impressive position. Not possitive though. I don’t know why poeple complain about the video. It’s from a simpler time. No complaints here.. in fact.. I love it. *)*
His voice is phenominal!!..I really like this video. To me less is more. I like the outdoors, the gestures depicting the meaning of the song..the sky, the cupids as a sign of love & his sad sad face. To me it’s plain & simple.. yet beautiful.. The Sun Ain’t Gonna Shine Anymore.. heartache from love lost. One of my most fav songs. *)*
What a voice!
I don’t know where you come up with this. The guy does not work for UPS.
And Elvis is a clerk in a 7’11 in Minn.
The video was shot quickly, back in those days they did NOT have all the computer stuff they can add to it.
It does look like a 1968 home made movie, but I love this song and the voice. That man had a voice.
Scott Engel lives in Sacramento and works for UPS in a Managerial type position. He is a neighbor.
Hee! I was too busy looking at his incredibly kissable Jim Morrison-lips! 😀
beautiful song!…bizarre video!..lol.
