Astoria-West; Young’ s Bay/Columbia River from 600 ft.

High atop Coxcomb hill (600 ft. above sea level), The Jacob Astor Column was unfortunately closed for maintenence repair (125 ft. higher). This was filmed from the edgr of the parking lot. Seen are Young’s Bay & The Skipanon River; The Young’s Bay Floating Bridge; The West Astoria neighborhood peninsula, and The Astoria Megler Bridge over the Columbia River. I pushed & rode my bicycle up from downtown Astoria, and criss-crossed the skyline on the way down, that was fun!
