Goofy’s in the eye of the beholder…
No no no…………..lol this video is like some off the wall acid trip!
that is how i feel about alot of cover tunes. they take out the very thing that make the songs special, the SOUL or in some cases the FUNK.
first heard this in 1967 when I was 2. one of the greatest songs ever
Today’s song of the day. Kill the goofy video.
I saw them at Filmore East in NY. Today is a wonderful day for all of us in the United States. Congradulations Pres. Obama
I saw them at Filmore (San Francisco) in 1968. Still get chills when I hear it.
Still as powerful today as it was in 1968, even without Carbona or glue….
It annoys me to no end when whoever posts a song has to cut off the very end of it. A nine minute song and you can’t let it play out to the very end?
Timeless!
TIME!
1968-a lot of good music came out during a unusually brutal year.
This song makes me want to eat marble cheese.
There is also a 4:58 version on Rhino. They may have cut one original 11 minute song and edited it at various times. I recall hearing several versions on FM radio back in the 1960s. Rhino states it was released September,1966while Whitburn’s Billboard Top Pop Singles book states it was released August, 1968.
Maybe it was re-released?
The song “Time Has Come Today” by the Chambers Brothers came out in August, 1968. It had several versions. The best known version is the FM radio edition and is 4:56 long. There are a couple of longer versions, it’s a great Psychelic song of the 60s!

Would LOVE to see this 9 minute version performed with live footage of the band!! This song is timeless!!!
im a 15 year old girl, and i absolutely love this song! 🙂
Wow, I was just listening to this song last night, and was definitely getting some “flashbacks”!
Me and my ol lady on Santa Monica beach at sunset and both of us just starting to peak on Orange Barrel when this song came on the radio. I still remember seeing the waves dance and play to this CLASSIC SONG…year? 1970
I remember when this song came out, still great today and always will be a classic!!!
drop a tab!!!
Wow this song is awesome. I just heard this song on the radio a couple days ago. But it said it was an 11 minute version. I don’t really see a difference though.
