All my peeps spend part of their life in fresh water and part of their life in salt water.

They change round a couple of days after spawning, then we die.

When I first did the salmon all the people just laughed
They looked around and stood like I was on crack

“What the f**k is that? This n*****’s dancing like a fish, while he’s doing the snap”
But the more I kept doing it, the more they were feeling it
Then I heard some bitches saying “that n*****’s killing it”
By the end of the night, everyone was on my team

And the whole club was dancing like a salmon swimming up stream!

Most of our friends find home waters by sense of smell, which is even more key than that of a dog or a bear.

Wow.

My family also rely on ocean currents, tides, the gravitational pull of the moon.

Polluted water can kill both baby salmon that are developing and the adult salmon that are on their way to spawn.

Blues Brothers – ‘Rawhide’

Jake, Elwood & the Blues Brothers Band perform the theme from the television show ‘Rawhide’ at Bob’s Country Bunker (where they have both ‘country & western!’). I hadn’t planned on doing another Blues Brothers video, but with the overwhelming positive reaction to the first one I did (it’s always nice to hear from fellow Blues Brothers fans) I decided to do this followup. I always thought this was one of the best scenes in the film – among so many great ones. I still have yet ever seen an actual episode of Rawhide, but the theme song is great – or at least performed by Jake & Elwood. Plus the song gave me an opportunity to highlight the famous Bluesmobile. So for any of you Blues Brothers fans out there – Enjoy!
Who knows, maybe I’ll do a third Blues Brothers video at some point.

Why did the De la Rey song about the Boer War elicit such a strong response from South Africans, particularly the Afrikaans speaking people? After watching this 2-part video, you may understand.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

Somehow, government leaders always have the temerity to “reassure” overseas countries that everything in South Africa is hunky-dory and all the negative things reported about the country are the work of whiners and disaffected white people hankering after a return of apartheid rule and people unhappy about blacks ruling the country!

Corruption in this country is at an all-time high, and anyone who tries to excuse or somehow condone government complicity is simply being dishonest in the extreme.

Here is an example of this type of rampant corruption for which there are existing remedies in law, but the trouble is that the police themselves are deeply implicated by their criminal deeds.

The Mpumalanga provincial government has just blown R1,45m on a party to celebrate its new 2010 stadium.

That is a crying shame, and one more example why the ANC is not the right crowd to rule this country.

Contrast this wastefulness with the R300 000 which Durban spent on a similar party for its much bigger stadium and with the very modest R35 000 spent by Cape Town.

At any rate, why is there a need to celebrate the construction – not opening – of stadiums?
